MKTG1416 Digital Marketing Strategy and Planning

Eco Vietnam

Eco Vietnam is a pioneer start-up in the innovative food waste management industry in Vietnam, started by Ms Huyen Luong, founder and CEO, last year, 2021. She has brought to the DMSP capstone class a project that challenges students to explore various segments for the food waste composting machines that would provide an innovative food waste management solution to both the consumers and the b2b market. RMIT Vietnam has become one among other big brands, including Pizza 4Ps, Aeon Mall, JMarriott Hotel, CP Corporation, Honda Vietnam, etc… who have put the machine on pilot for dealing with foodwaste at SGS campus and generating fertilizers for landscaping on campus.


On HN campus, the class has partnered with Charity and Environmental Club at RMIT Vietnam, Hanoi to create a fun, informative event for the RMIT Hanoi students to increase awareness of food waste and those innovative solutions. The students joined a quiz on food waste facts for prizes and planted trees, using fertilizers made from the composting machines.
