Animation

As a student of the Digital Media Program, you will engage in the animated image in all its formats, from motion graphics, and stop motion approaches, to 2D and 3D animation across a wide range of narrative techniques and interactive environments, developing conceptually and technically rigorous contents that will be showcase worthy.

2D Animation

In the Digital Media courses, you will be able to develop the technical and conceptual skills related to the production of 2D animation. Specifically, you will learn the design principles behind motion, colour, character and narrative and how they manifest in 2D animation, addressing both traditional media (e.g. pencil on paper) and digital media (e.g. vector animation, digital cut-out).

3D Animation

In the Digital Media program, we cover 3d Animation concepts such as basic Character Modelling, Texture and Lighting for animation, Animation Principles, Animation techniques and many more topics. The animation techniques and processes learned in our classes apply to industry fields such as gaming, virtual production, animation, digital visualisation and motion capture.

Motion Graphics

Widely used in art, advertising, branding, UI design, television, film, and educational content, motion graphics are non-narrative animated design elements used for digital media projects like films, ads, installations, and digital interfaces, enhancing visual appeal and storytelling, and making complex information engaging and understandable.

Stop Motion

In the second & third years, our students are presented with the Digital Media Specialisation, where students have the chance to design & create appealing stop-motion animations using a range of practical techniques and tools, breaking down the steps and concepts of material-based animated production, from the ideation & development stages to the production of short films.
