Sound
The Sound pathway in the Digital Media program gives students the skills for capturing and editing sound to design sonic experiences. From video and games to apps and interactive installations, sound plays a crucial role in immersing users and audiences, and the Sound pathway prepares students to shape audio for that.
Sound Design
In the Sound Design for Digital Media course, students learn the basics of sound design, from capturing sounds, modifying them, synthesizing them, and syncing them to other digital media content to tell engaging stories and enrich user experiences.
Final Project
Working with sound is one choice for a student’s final project in their third year, in which students dive deeply into a project which allows them to sharpen specific skills and produce a work which emphasizes their expertise in their portfolio.
Sound and Interaction
In the Digital Media Specialisation 1 course, students learn to combine their sound design skills with their interactive media programming skills to produce interactive works that immerse users in an audiovisual experience.
