26 – 28 April 2022

2022 Strategic Leadership Course for Officials at Ho Chi Minh National Academy (HCMA) of Politics

Clients: Aus4Skill / Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics’ (HCMA)

Number of Participants: 49 selected managers and directors from the HCMA's Advanced Political Theory

The objectives are to enable participants to think and act  creatively about the capabilities required of managerial leaders, with an emphasis on self-development related to becoming effective as leaders. A group of senior lecturers  and the SBM Project team, led by Professor Robert McClelland (Dean of School), have conducted three separate-themed training days tailored to the needs of emerging leaders in Vietnam. SBM is very honoured to welcome Mr Toms Simpson (Senior Vice President, AdColody) and especially Mrs Robyn Mudie (Australian Ambassador to Vietnam) with their inspiring talks about the  most essential components of leadership and strategy.

We also had the privilege of having the representatives from the  Australian Embassy in Vietnam, Ms Julie Hart (First Secretary,  Human Resource Development); Ms Bridget Collier (Counsellor, Political); and A/P Hoang Van Nghia (General Director of the International Cooperation Department).  During the closing remarks, Professor Bob McClelland also  congratulated the attendees on successfully overcoming  the  challenges brought by COVID-19, which would hopefully form a sound partnership. We are looking forward to more collaboration opportunities between RMIT Vietnam and HCMA.
