Interlocking application to prevent bypassing manufacturing procedures

For traceability, QR technology will be more suitable for this project compared to RFID technology due to ease of implementation and cheaper cost in general. To implement QR technology in Schneider manufacturing line, some hardware and software materials to run the QR code will be necessary.



For interlocking applications, the ideal PLC models implemented into tester machines will be M221 (Modicon 221) which can communicate with database via ethernet, wireless access, web servers to simplify machine integration and traceability. For software to program M221, Ecostruxture Machine Expert Basic and Ecostruxture Machine Expert are available which can be downloaded from the Schneider’s website. The programming software is structured according to the project development cycle so that navigation within the software is simple and intuitive. This allows for easy configuration, programming, and commissioning. M200 and M241 can be a solid replacement if M221 is not available since their functionality is similar to M221 which fits the scope of the project.
