Recognition system

We provide a prototype of our solution to help children with ASD develop their emotional skills. The solution is a mobile application called EMODO which includes two games: quiz and copycat. The quiz game comprises many multi-choice questions regarding the signs of emotions. The copycat game requires users to copy the emotions provided to progress further. Our copycat game is powered by a facial expression recognition system with an accuracy of 62%. As the users of our application are mostly children diagnosed with ASD, we design the application to be extremely user-friendly with themes that make them feel at ease while using our application. By interacting with the application through the two games, we believe that ASD-diagnosed children will be provided with a positive learning experience, which will significantly improve their emotional learning and development. We hope that after using our solution, many more ASD-diagnosed children will have an easier time to express their emotions and to integrate into the community.
