“True Beauty” is the title of this project, themed around the concept of “Beauty.” This web-based interactive poetry piece is inspired by Abdullah Shoaib’s poem “Pretty Ugly", aiming to challenge the traditional perceptions of beauty that are often limited to physical appearances. Delving into the idea of “Beauty Inside” encourages audiences to consider inner qualities and virtues in their assessment of a person’s beauty. This experience is enhanced through the integration of captivating visual elements, animations, and interactive features, enriching the poetry reading experience. Furthermore, the project offers a unique two-dimensional perspective on beauty, presenting two distinct versions based on the reading direction.
