"After all this time, always" by the character Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series is a classic line of this character when talking about his undying love for the person he loves even though it is only one-sided love. Even when she died, he still chose to protect her child in secret even though he hated the boy. If you follow the Harry Potter series, readers will understand that this is a sad line that makes them feel tormented. So I wanted to heal that pain with a happier situation by rendering some sequencing images based on that quote. I created a journey to find my “mate” after being lost and the main character, the flip-flop is one of the most iconic items of Vietnamese which are durable. At the same time, I have included some typical Vietnamese cultures in the story. Through that, I have named the story based on the nature of “Dép Lào” as I “Dép Lào” You mean I love you as persistently as flip-flops.
Working Process
This skills-based course aims to provide students with the necessary tools and skillset to develop and explore both traditional and digital methods of image-making and image sequencing. Through workshops and practical exercises, students will engage with a variety of mediums, including drawing and painting, composition, color theory, and digital illustration techniques, to develop their own unique style through experimentation and exploration.
Additionally, the course will address the rapidly changing landscape of the industry and how to adapt to emerging trends and platforms, including the increasing prevalence of online self-learning tools. Students will gain an understanding of illustration skills practice and develop the confidence to take control of their own learning journey, preparing them for a career in illustration.
