Sustainability has consistently emerged as an interdisciplinary subject that is so multifaceted and ever-changing, which has been visited and re-visited with a multitude of perspectives revolving around its existence as well as the contexts in which it operates. Departing from the conventional discourse fixated on surmounting the seemingly insurmountable "wicked" problems, this Digital Storytelling Project, inspired by d'Orville's assertion that 'there is no fixed path to achieve sustainability' (2019:67), takes a divergent path.
Under the theoretical frameworks of 'systems thinking' and 'micro-sustainability,'
the project commences fathoming and establishing an alternative approach, framing sustainability as 'a constant endeavor of each individual.'
In this light, sustainability efforts also indicate the need to exert attention on the aggregation of presumably inconspicuous minutiae, those seemingly trivial elements subtly being ignored in the everyday acts. It is within these subtle intricacies that lies the power to collectively harness the cumulative impact of unsustainability as a whole, ultimately transforming what may seem like a forceful pursuit into an enlightening and deeply fulfilling endeavor.
