Katalon Assistant

Katalon Assistant is a web-based, domain-specific AI chat application designed to serve as an intelligent support tool for the Katalon Support Portal and the broader Katalon team. Its core purpose is to deliver context-aware, conversational support, enabling users to ask technical or product-related questions in natural language. The system retrieves precise, contextual answers from Katalon’s knowledge base through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), ensuring relevance and accuracy. By leveraging MCP, the system achieves RAG-like contextual retrieval without the need to build a standalone RAG pipeline.

When inquiries cannot be resolved automatically, the assistant seamlessly escalates issues by generating a smart support ticket, ensuring smooth transfer to Katalon’s support team without losing context. Complementary features include a real-time feedback collector, which gathers user ratings to continuously refine AI responses, and an analytics dashboard that visualizes performance metrics such as accuracy, user satisfaction, and ticketing efficiency.



The project adopts a multi-agent architecture powered by LangGraph to provide scalable AI integration. Dedicated agents specialize in documentation retrieval, ticket generation, and supplemental research from public Katalon resources. Ultimately, Katalon Assistant aims to reduce manual ticket submissions, improve self-service efficiency, and significantly enhance user experience across the Katalon Support Portal.
