With the advancement of technology and the 4.0 revolution, there is a continuous push in the business world to develop new software and applications that may help companies enhance their job efficiency and ability to compete in their respective markets. Besides applications for commercial usage, many companies are currently concentrating on the well-being of their staff members by developing applications for internal use to improve the convenience of the employees’ day-to-day life while they are at work. 

Therefore, Netcompany collaborated with RMIT University to build and implement a project called “Netcompany Office Tool”. This project aims to create a mobile application that supports employees in their daily life at the office. Currently, employees occasionally find it difficult to express their opinions and ideas in the workplace environment, which is exacerbated in a closed work environment. Moreover, today’s perplexing work dynamics need employees to share beneficial ideas freely and without fear, as long as they contribute to business goals. Therefore, the intranet will become an excellent solution that provides a virtual platform for employees to communicate freely without the constraints or worries associated with traditional means of opinion sharing. 



With this incentive in mind, this project aims to create a set of accessible internal applications that will attract 70% of the workforce. Because this software is intended for internal employees, it should have an intuitive and aesthetically pleasant UI/UX. Specifically, employees can view up-to-date lunch menu information, submit suggestions or report problems to their respective leadership positions, find available meeting rooms, and be guided to them with a simple 2D map. This application can create an environment where employees feel comfortable developing and contributing to the corporate culture. The product can be installed at the global offices of Netcompany and they may commercialize the application and compete with similar solutions on the market.
