Due to the impractical learning method of Vietnamese aviation students since most of the lessons are teached by textbook, which leads to students find it is difficult to deeply understand the lessons and apply it into practice. Therefore, adding practical and flexible factors in teaching is one of the most crucial method to help aviation students effectively learn. 

 

Based on that, React Enthusiast team and DreamFlyer Aviation had collaborated to develop an application that applies Virtual Reality technology is named VirFly to simulate some topics in the pilot training section including airflow and airplane controlling. The application offers a practical experience in airplane controlling via the flight simulation function; users can interact with the buttons and wheels to control the plan during the flight. Moreover, the application also supports pilot students to understand how airflow will affect on the plane. To increase the flexibility of this function, the application allows users to configure weathers conditions to see how airflow has changed, additionally, thanks to the VR technology, users can see from different angles by moving around or choose the suitable angle from the menu. 

 

The VirFly is the first application that offers aviation students a flexible and practical learning method about controlling airplane and airflow. The project aims to replace learning in 2d environment such as textbook, video and some applications such as wind tunnel free by the flexible 3d environment. For that reason, flight tutorial will be the advanced functions to increase the training experience for pilot students.
