Smart Garden is a system that monitors the surrounding environment of a tree and visualises the data. Data on factors such as light, temperatures and moisture is presented by days, months and years in charts and graphs via a dashboard webpage. To illustrate, figure 1 presents the relationship between four crucial components. Arduino and Raspberry Pi are responsible for controlling and reading the data from various types of sensors. A NodeJS WebServer is responsible for receiving the sensor data Raspberry Pi and sending it to the remote database (a Google sheet). The dashboard website is for data visualisation, which is implemented by HTML, CSS and JS.
