A Transparent, Distributed, and Secure Crowdfunding Platform Based on Blockchain
For this capstone project, our team has developed a blockchain-based crowdfunding platform that ensures transparency, auditability, security, and decentralization. Despite the enormous growth in recent years, traditional crowdfunding methods often face critical challenges like lack of transparency and fund mismanagement. For those reasons, team G(OLD) was motivated to create a reliable and effective platform for crowdfunding activities using blockchain. By utilizing blockchain technology, this platform allows stakeholders to trace fund flows, monitor project updates, and ensure that their funds are used as intended. The platform allows users to create and manage projects, set milestones, and keep track of contributions through a user-friendly interface. The decentralized nature of blockchain technology, from storing user data to processing payments, reduces dependency on central authority and enhances trust among investors and project owners. Our solution not only automates the transaction process through smart contracts, guarantees that the allocation of funds is tracked and released following validated milestones and contract agreements, but also enhances security and global accessibility by supporting cryptocurrency transactions. The project has successfully achieved its objectives by delivering a transparent and decentralized crowdfunding platform, promoting the benefits of blockchain technology in real-world applications and advancing its role in financial systems.
