CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF A SMART AQUACULTURE ENVIRONMENT MEASURING SYSTEM
Shrimp aquaculture has been practiced for many years and listed among traditional coastal farming activities in Vietnam. However, the success rate of shrimp farming in Vietnam is relatively low. Good water quality and continuous monitoring will help prevent shrimp diseases and create an environment for better growth and a higher survival rate.
The project aims to gather the environmental readings of a shrimp farming an automated system that includes automated sensor washing and remote monitoring with the intent of reducing manual labor required for detecting non-ideal conditions for shrimp growth and harvest efficiency. The system is capable of measuring parameters such as: DO level, water temperature, and pH level The environmental data will be available on both handheld LoRa device and local PC with real time visualization, and later be uploaded to a cloud database that supports ML model in the future. This device not only meets current shrimp farming needs, but also sets a foundation for future technology application for small and medium shrimp farming business.
