AGENT-BASED FIRE EVACUATION MODELLING AND SIMULATION SYSTEM

Updating from the initial Project Proposal and Progress Report from our Capstone A, the team’s aim is to develop an agent-based fire evacuation modeling and simulation system. Specifically, the project focuses on designing and developing in-depth human emotion and behavior model and putting them in a near-or-at real-time environmental hazardous fire evacuation simulation to gather data on how different factors affect evacuation efficiency and hope to serve as a prediction tool to help ensure human safety and minimize fire damage. The system developed will mainly be used to create and perform simulation on small-scaled building and population size of 200 agents, aimed toward small branch or start-up offices.
