Control system design for ABB robot production cell
A modular control system and electrical cabinet for an ABB robot production cell. The IRB1200 performs pick-and-place to sort two item types using object and height sensing. A standardized architecture links PLCs, sensors, HMI, and network services, enabling fast integration and training. A web dashboard reports uptime, item throughput, and alarms. The prototype demonstrates reliable PLC–robot communication and an Industry 4.0-ready baseline that can be expanded to additional stations and data analytics.
