Web-app Automation Test Using Playwright Framework

In today’s fast-paced world of web application development, ensuring excellent quality and reliability has become a progressively challenging task.

Traditional testing methods, especially manually testing, have become not only outdated but also proven to be inefficient, primarily due to the time-consuming nature and significant human and technical resources demand. As the complexity and scale of the web applications continue to grow, the limitations of manual testing, such as the inability to adapt to the frequent release cycles, the need to retest everything after each update, as well as the rising factor of human error, become even more apparent.

As a result, by utilizing automated testing frameworks- Playwright, developers can guarantee superior efficiency, precision, and consistency in their testing processes while simultaneously saving time, cutting costs, and reducing the risk of manual error.

This project served as the cornerstone for exploring the capabilities of Playwright in creating a robust and scalable automated testing suite for RMIT Inventory and Loan web application, while also transferring knowledge to RMIT ITS department for further development and future maintenance.
