Secure and Intelligent document management system for Financial Institutions
This project focuses on delivering a secure, centralized Document Management System (DMS) tailored for financial institutions to eliminate data fragmentation and mitigate cyber risks. The primary objective is to replace manual workflows with a unified software platform, establishing a single source that streamlines administrative operations and accelerates document processing.
Core activities include engineering an integrated malware scanning pipeline to quarantine uploaded files prior to storage, enforcing AES-256 encryption across all data at rest and in transit, and implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) paired with audit logging. The underlying system architecture is designed to accommodate secondary stretch capabilities: AI-driven OCR data extraction, automated PII redaction, and smart loan decision support, to facilitate future automation.
The technical stack incorporates backend validation services, secure storage modules, and RESTful APIs, supported by Figma prototype designs, Swagger API documentation, and Continuous Integration (CI) release pipelines. The compatibility of third-party security integration tools - ClamAV, is evaluated to ensure high performance and operational flexibility during file ingestion.
The anticipated outcome is highly scalable. This centralized approach aims to minimize data-handling vulnerabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize operational efficiency across organizational departments.
