This poster was inspired by the visual language of the Independence Palace. Its signature stone lattice pattern, a form of both balance and contrast, was reinterpreted into a typographic wordmark. It also recalls the image of bamboo sections, a traditional Vietnamese symbol of resilience, flexibility, and cultural continuity.
The layout of the poster reflects the palace’s architectural composition: balanced symmetry, strong hierarchy, and a structured grid that merges traditional symbolism with modernist clarity. By adapting architectural elements into graphic form, the poster highlights how Vietnamese patterns that express identity and heritage, can be bridged with the functionality and modernity of Armin Hofmann’s design principles.
