Liquid Reverie is an experimental stop-motion animation that deviates from traditional linear storytelling and character representation in favor of a rich, immersive visual experience. It was created using frame-by-frame animation, inspired by 15 randomly chosen words from three sets : (1) handkerchief, devour, tranquil, frustrated; (2) cup, deprived, wedding anniversary, saturated, nervous; (3) eyes, bang, cozy, snarling, delicious. They are used as conceptual prompts rather than narrative stories. The animation explores the fluidity of space through material experimentation and unpredictable visual composition. Instead of relying on figurative representation, it captivates the viewer through movement, textures of different materials, and contrasts in light, color, and form. Liquid Reverie is an exploration of the transformation of objects, concepts, and emotions that evolve in unexpected ways. This project has improved my creative perspective, as it has taught me that anything can and should be able to change into something else as long as there is imagination.
