In this assignment, I focus on analyzing 6 out of a total of 30 types of fabric including: Recycled Polyester, Drill, Seersucker, Gingham, Dotted Swiss and Coffee fabric. Each type of fabric is analyzed in terms of fabric name, thread density, weight, width, weave structure, composition, fabric properties, end-use applications, wash care instructions, advantages & disadvantages, trend analysis and additional information (history and manufacturing methods). This assignment has 2 versions: soft copy and hard copy, 2 weave structure (HOPSACK OF OXFORD, TWILL 2 UP 2 DOWN) and 2 woven products (heart and flower basket). Through this assignment, I wish to foster the sense of comfort and freedom for the audience to explore information through the pages that I have crafted. Eventually, they can understand more clearly about 6 types of fabrics to apply it to real life.
