In this assignment, my first task is to collect 30 different types of fabric. Then, I will focus on analyzing 6 specific fabrics, including drill, devoré, recycled cotton, glen plaid, lyocell, and herringbone twill. For each fabric, I will research the following aspects: fabric name, properties, composition, weight (GSM), thread density, width, weave structure, and price. Additionally, I will explore the care instructions, history, and origins of each fabric, as well as analyze their advantages and disadvantages, trends, and practical applications. For the final task, I will simulate the Plain Weave structure (1 up – 1 down) and create a physical product based on this weaving technique. I hope this research will provide valuable insights, helping people gain a deeper understanding of different fabric types and approaches to this assignment.
